How We Met and How He Asked Me To Marry Him

Tony and I met in High School in 2001. I was a Sophomore and Tony was a Senior. We both went to Carman Ainsworth. I guess you could say we were "High School Sweet Hearts", because we have been together ever since. I first met Tony in my English Class. My teacher was Ms. Mathews and Tony was her Assistant. My class was getting ready to do a book report on something and we all went to the library. I was looking stuff up on the computer, when Tony came and sat next to me and we started talking. I thought he was really funny and a nice guy. We exchanged our AOL names, so we could talk online when we got home from school. After a couple days of getting to know each other, I finally got the nerve to ask him out. I was really nervous. I didn't know what he would say.  He said "Yes". But first, my parents wanted to meet him and his parents. So, our first date ended up being at Genesee Valley Mall, so our parents could meet. At first, I thought our parents meeting was kind of annoying. But now when I think about it, they were just trying to protect me and were concerned as parents. After two years of dating, Tony asked me to marry him. Two weeks before he asked me, he gave me a rose with a word attached to it describing me. After getting a dozen roses, I figured out that the first letter of each word on the roses, spelled out "My Best Friend".  Then on Christmas Day(2003), Tony gave me a bear with the year on it's foot and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I have to admit, I was laughing when he asked me because I was so excited. Of course I said "Yes".
