Embrace the Camera #2

Here is a picture of my grandpa, Kayley and me. My grandpa is the best grandpa I could ever ask for. He has been a huge part of my life and has had tremendous influence in my life as well. He is a man on fire for the Lord and is a blessing to me and many people. He is doing well right now, but I know that he is ready to be in Heaven with is Saviour and his beautiful wife, my grandma. I miss her so much. It has been almost seven months since she has passed away and gone to Heaven. She has been on my mind a lot lately. I know that she is in a wonderful place and is looking down on me everyday. One day I will get to see her in Heaven and I can't wait. But for now, I'm so glad that I have the blessing to see my grandpa. I love him so much and I'm so proud to be his granddaughter.

My First "Embrace The Camera" Pictures

My Sister-in-law introduced me to the "Embrace The Camera" post that goes on every Thursday. She asked me to check it out on the "Anderson Crew" blog and to try out the challenge. So I checked out the blog and decided I would do it.  Most of the time I'm the one who is behind the camera and not in the pictures, so this would be a great change for me. I'm going to try and take pictures of my daughter and I or a picture of my husband, daughter and I every Thursday. That way my daughter, Kayley will have pictures of us she can look back on. Here are a few pictures of Kayley and I(Mommy) off my phone this morning. Sorry the pictures are in the wrong direction. I have no idea how to change them. :\
We are goofballs.....I know
Kayley took this picture all by herself

Easter

My Family

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I get to spend time with family and friends and decorate eggs and get lots of candy, but most importantly, it is Resurrection Sunday. God sent his only Son, Jesus to die on the cross for every ones sin and was buried in a tomb and ROSE AGAIN the third day and HE is ALIVE. What a Great and Awesome Saviour! We had a great day yesterday celebrating Easter. Our church had almost 700 people and two great programs done from our Choir/Drama Team and our Kids Choir. I made an amazing ham and duck dinner and had an Easter egg hunt with Kayley and Ariel.

Goodbye Saturn....Hello Malibu!

Tony has been looking for a car for a month. He has been very patient and picky on finding just the right car for him. His goal was to get a bigger four-door car with low mileage and a great low price. He also wanted a car that was a little newer then his 2001 Saturn SL2. I always called it his little go- cart. But it had great gas mileage and he has had it for about 7-8 years. It was a very good work car for him. We have had many memories in that car. We took it with us on our honeymoon. I remember trying to get myself and my wedding dress in that small car. I think it even went through two or three transmissions, but it lasted for a long time. Then when I was pregnant with Kayley and I had to drive that car to work one day, I felt like I had to fall into the seat to get in and it was a drag trying to get out of it. Finally,Tony found the best car for him at Randy Wise. I went with him to look at some cars and we found a 2007 Malibu. It only had about 90,000 miles and was about $8,500. We test drove it and loved it. The only thing we noticed wrong with it is that it needed new brakes. We had a great salesman. His name was Joe Riley. He was very honest and very nice. He told us that he would make sure that the brakes were fixed. We even got him to lower the price for us. We got the Malibu for a little over $6000. I don't remember the exact price. So, last Thursday, Tony picked up his new car and later that day we went to the Red Wings game. On the way there, Tony had to hit the brakes on the express way and we noticed to the brakes didn't get fixed. The next day, Tony took it back to Randy Wise and they fixed the brakes and now it drives as good as new. Now Tony has a great new car that is bigger and great for our family. Even though we will miss the little go- cart and the memories we had, we are looking forward to the many memories and adventures to come with our new car.

My April Fools Day

April Fools Day is a great day for jokes and pranks. I could say that I put on the greatest prank ever yesterday, but can you believe that I didn't even crack a joke or anything. I honestly didn't. I don't know why. I could have told people I was pregnant...(which I'm totally not), or I could have told someone that they had something in their hair. I didn't do any of those things. Instead, I got to teach my third grade girls in 252(Jr Worship) about Hope and about someone that is stronger than anything. That person is God. Hope is believing that something good can come out of something bad. Their memory verse for the week was John 16:33. It says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have over-come the world." That means that if we are a child of God, no matter how hard life may be for us, He will always be there to help us with our struggles. God is so strong that he even conquered death. He died on the cross for OUR sins and was buried in a tomb and then rose again the third day. Then in the evening, I got to hear a great sermon in church last night from Evangelist, Mark Kerlin. He is such a great preacher. He preaches from the heart and always asks God to give him the words and knowledge of what the church needs to hear. Last night he preached on "Mending The Nets". The Bible passage he preached on was in Matthew 4:19-22. He told us that as Christians, we get caught up in knowing that we are forgiven and going to Heaven, but a lot of times we don't think about others going to Heaven. We don't think about some family members or friends may not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour. We tend to get scared about telling them about Jesus because maybe we won't have the right words to say or they may even reject us. I know I get nervous about telling people about God. But I realized that I can't do it on my own. I need to ask God to help me through it and give me the strength and knowledge and He will. God really convicted me last night to be a  better soul winner for Christ. I realized that I need to tell others more about Christ and not keep it all to myself. I made a promise to God last night that with His help, I will make sure to tell my family, friends and everyone else about my Wonderful, Forgiving Saviour, Jesus Christ. I'm so glad that one day, I will go to Heaven and I want everyone to be there with me.
